Jump On It attracted a lot of attention as the topselling filly at the Barretts May Sale, bringing $410,000, and she proved even more eyecatching in her career opener. Sent right to front, the 3-5 chalk had daylight on the field throughout and romped home a 5 1/4-length winner. Fillie by the Bay (Elusive Quality) was second best. The winner, the sixth for her freshman sire (by A.P. Indy), was also a $25,000 KEENOV weanling, a $45,000 FTKJUL yearling and, in an impressive pinhooking move, a $65,000 FTFFEB juvenile. Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, $31,800.
