A smart $275,000 FTFFEB juvenile acquisition, Unobstructed View had been preparing for her first start at Monmouth Park, but showed enough in the mornings to earn a trip north to make her debut at storied Saratoga. Proving the trip was worth it, she ripped through a quarter in :21.51 with Fast Deal (Grand Slam) glued to her outside, then inched away under a spirited John Velazquez drive to prevail by a length. Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, $27,000.
