Nothing But Fun, F, 3, by Dixie Union

1st Dam: Zepa, by Theatrical (Ire)
2nd Dam: Highest Trump, by Bold Bidder
3rd Dam: Dear April, by *My Babu

A $150,000 KEESEP yearling, Nothing But Fun was sent off the 3-1 second choice at first asking. The dark bay filly was bumped at the break and found herself next-to-last in the early going. She enjoyed clear sailing when switched to the rail in the stretch and finished full of run to win by a widening 3 3/4 lengths over fellow firster Clear Intentions (Salt Lake). The winner is out of a half-sister to the dam of GI Breeders’ Cup Distaff heroine and champion Ajina (Strawberry Road {Aus}), MGISW, $1,327,915. Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, $25,800.
