Clear Impression finished second to subsequent G1 Cheveley Park S. second Suez (GB) on her only previous start at Goodwood last July and her return was eagerly awaited. Leaving the gate quickly, she was eased from her wide position onto the rail and into the lead after a furlong. Never headed, the 4-11 favorite needed only minimal encouragement to pull three lengths clear of Gennie Bond (GB) (Pivotal {GB}). She will now be aimed at the G3 Fred Darling S. at Newbury Apr. 16 before a tilt at the G1 1000 Guineas at Newmarket May 1.
