Godolphin's G1 1000 Guineas runner-up Lucida (Ire) (Shamardal–Lura, by Street Cry {Ire}) has been retired from racing after suffering an injury. The 3-year-old Jim Bolger-trained filly won last year's G2 Rockfel S. and was runner up in the G1 Moyglare Stud S. before going on to finish second this year in the 1000 Guineas and third in the G1 Coronation S. at Royal Ascot. She was last seen finishing sixth of seven in the G1 Falmouth S. July 10.
“It has been a pleasure to be associated with such a talented filly and we look forward to seeing her produce on the racecourse in the coming years,” said Bolger.
