Into Mischief Heads Spendthrift 2018 Roster

Into Mischief | Joy Gilbert

B. Wayne Hughes' Spendthrift Farm announced the stud fees for most of its stallion roster for 2018 Sunday afternoon. Among the roster of 24 stallions is Into Mischief (Harlan's Holiday), who moves from $75,000 to $100,000 in the new year with a full book.

Three new stallions include the recently-retired Gormley (Malibu Moon), Lord Nelson (Pulpit), and Tom's Ready (More Than Ready), who remains in training through the end of the year. Gormley, winner of last year's GI FrontRunner S. and this year's GI Santa Anita Derby, retires as Malibu Moon's only Grade I-winning 2-year-old at stud. The millionaire also joins Orb as his sire's only multiple Grade I winners at stud. Gormley will stand for $10,000. MGISW Lord Nelson, who overcame a well documented bout with laminitis, will stand for $25,000.

Meanwhile, long-time Spendthrift stalwart Malibu Moon (A.P. Indy) will remain at $75,000 in 2018.
