Inglis Unveils Mixed Sale Incentives

Inglis will introduce new incentives for breeders and vendors, including reduced commission rates and rebates, at its Australian Broodmare and Weanling Sale May 1 to 4.

Any proceeds of a horse's sale price in excess of A$100,000 will be commission-free, Inglis's National Bloodstock Director Jonathan D'Arcy explained. “This will mean that vendors whose weanling or mare sells for A$400,000, for example, will pay only A$8,000 in commission,” he said. Inglis is also guaranteeing sales proceeds to reach vendors by June 15.

Inglis will also assist farms who sell horses on behalf of clients with travel rebates. Vendors who sell three or more lots will receive a rebate according to the following structure: A$1,000 for turnover between A$100,000 and A$249,000; A$2,500 for A$250,000 to A$499,000; A$5,000 for A$500,000 to A$999,000; and A$10,000 for a million-plus.
