According to HRTV, Donnie Crevier and Charles Martin's GI Santa Anita Sprint Championship winner Points Offthebench (Benchmark–Mo Chuisle, by Free House) broke down during his final breeze for the GI Breeders' Cup Sprint at Santa Anita Saturday morning and was subsequently euthanized. Rider Mike Smith was uninjured in the incident. The 4-year-old Tim Yakteen trainee had an overall race record of 8-6-1-1 with earnings of $514,940.
