Godolphin Buys Atty Persse

Atty Persse | Racing Post

Godolphin has completed the private purchase of Atty Persse (Ire) (Frankel {GB}), a first-out winner at Sandown Sept. 14 for owner/breeder Bjorn Nielsen. The bay, who was led out unsold at Tattersalls as a foal and a yearling for 200,000gns and 160,000gns, respectively, will remain under the care of trainer Roger Charlton.

“He will remain with Roger Charlton, and it is Godolphin's first horse with him,” Godolphin chief executive John Ferguson told the Telegraph. “Sheikh Mohammed saw him win at Sandown and was impressed. We're all delighted to have a horse in training with Roger.”

Ferguson said no future targets have been laid out for Atty Persse.

“Plans at this stage have not been confirmed, but they will be discussed in the next few days,” he said.
