Dak Attack rallied strongly from off the pace to down odds-on 'TDN Rising Star' Ten City (Run Away and Hide) and 10 others in the Ellis Park Juvenile S. Bet like a sure thing in his June 15 debut at Churchill, the $625,000 KEESEP buy delivered with a professional victory, and he was made the clear second choice at 2-1 to stay unbeaten here. Settling in the back half of the field behind sharp splits of :21.65 and :44.70, the bay rallied in tandem with Ten City passing the three-furlong pole and was clearly traveling better than that one as heads pointed for home. Pace presser Northern Trail (Northern Afleet) was the last one of the frontrunners standing at 80-1 in mid-stretch, but Dak Attack had a full head of steam and overtook that one outside the sixteenth pole, kicking clear from there to a 3 1/4-length success in 1:22.96. Ten City was third-best. The winner's second dam is champion and MGISW Proud Spell (Proud Citizen). Indian Spell has a yearling colt by Kitten's Joy and was bred to Summer Front this spring.
