Galileo Pair Lead Tatts Opener

A pair of yearlings by Galileo (Ire) hammered down to MV Magnier lead the early trade at the Tattersalls October Book 1 yearling sale as the first lots to reach seven-figures. Lot 30, the first of the pair through the ring, is the second foal out of the GI Frizette S. winner A Z Warrior (Bernardini), and she was bought for 1.3 million Guineas. A short time later, Magnier went to 1.25 million for lot 43, a colt out of Alluring Park (Ire) (Green Desert) who is a full-brother to G1 Epsom Oaks winner Was (Ire) as well as Al Namaah (Ire), who cost a record 5 million guineas here two years ago.
