Taris (Flatter) will have her final prep for the GI Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint at Keeneland in Sunday's GIII L.A. Woman S. at Santa Anita. Purchased by Magnier, Smith and Tabor for $2.35 million at the 2014 Fasig-Tipton November sale, the 'TDN Rising Star' finished a game second after setting a scorching pace in the GI La Brea S. in Arcadia Dec. 26. The 2014 GII Raven Run S. heroine resurfaced from the sidelines with a smart decision while showing the ability to rate for the first time in the GIII Rancho Bernardo H. at Del Mar most recently Aug. 16.

The bay worked a sharp four furlongs in :47 4/5 (6/56) at Santa Anita Sept. 27. “She's training really well; I'm happy with her,” trainer Simon Callaghan said. “She's been doing well since her last win, so she's ready to run a big race.”

Only four rivals will take on the 6-5 morning-line favorite, including C.E.R.F. S. one-two Uzziel (Harlington) and Ben's Duchess (Munnings); and Unforgettable U (Tale of the Cat), a runaway optional claiming winner at Del Mar Sept. 7.
