Frankel Fee Set At £125,000

Frankel (GB) (Galileo {Ire}–Kind {Ire}, by Danehill)  will stand his first season at a fee of £125,000, it was announced yesterday. Following the great colt's crowning at Tuesday's Cartier Horse of the Year for the second time, Juddmonte Farms' General Manager Philip Mitchell said, “The fee for Frankel reflects his merits as being perhaps the greatest racehorse we have ever witnessed. He is by Galileo, who is now recognised as the best sire in the world, and out of Kind, a winner of six races [from five to seven furlongs] and herself a daughter of one of the most influential stallions in the history of thoroughbred breeding, Danehill.”
