Full statistics for 2015 regarding the British and Irish foal crops and return of mares affirmed the earlier Return of Mares published in November, with increases in both the British and Irish foal crops. The complete statistics are now available in the recently published Weatherbys Return Of Mares Supplement. The main Return Of Mares is published in November and the supplement is automatically sent to those who bought the initial report. The British foal crop rose by 5% from 4328 in 2014 to 4569 in 2015, but still below the 2008 high watermark of 5920. The Irish foal crop increased 9% to 8780 from 7,999 in 2014, well below its high of 12,419 in 2008.
