Entries for the fourth renewal of the Goffs London Sale in association with QIPCO opened Monday, with the boutique sale aiming to catalogue approximately 50 lots comprised of horses in training with Royal Ascot entries and a selection of elite breeding stock. Slated for The Orangery at Kensington Palace on the eve of Royal Ascot, Monday, June 19, past graduates of the sale include next day G2 Coventry S. runner-up Cappella Sansevero (GB) (Showcasing {GB}) who was knocked down for £1.3 million in 2014; the first foal by Frankel (GB) offered at public auction anywhere in the world alongside his dam Crystal Gaze (Ire) (Rainbow Quest), who was back in foal to the Juddmonte resident brought £1.15 million. Last term, G1 Irish 1000 Guineas heroine Jet Setting (Ire) (Fast Company {Ire}) went the way of the China Horse Club for £1.3 million. Group 1 winner Pornichet (Fr) (Vespone {Ire}), and Classic hero Harbour Law (GB) (Lawman {Fr}) are also graduates of the Goffs London Sale.

“We have been thrilled with how the sale has developed since 2014, but are always looking to improve and refine it,” said Goffs Group Chief Executive Henry Beeby. “As a shop window on the eve of the most global race meeting in the world, our vision for it is to continue to attract new buyers and investment in our sport. To be able to purchase a thoroughbred on the eve of Royal Ascot and see it run the same week in your name and in your own colours is something we believe is very attractive and are very grateful to the BHA who have enabled this to happen.”

Continued Beeby, “Once again, we would like to thank our title sponsor QIPCO for their ongoing commitment along with partners, Chateau Leoube, Selfridges and Select Mobile. We are also delighted to welcome JetSmarter and Claridges as new supporting partners this year.”

The sale format will not contain a breeze-up section, unlike previous years and nominations for horses in training and breeding stock entries are now open and can be made by contacting Goffs at +353 45 886600. Alternatively, or for more information, please go to www.goffs.com.
