Alan Bell's stakes-placed 2-year-old Eden Roc (Aus) (Star Witness {Aus}), a A$750,000 Magic Millions yearling last year, will be offered at Inglis's inaugural Chairman's Sale – Elite Racing Prospects session on Mar. 30. Eden Roc was runner-up on debut for Team Hawkes on Jan. 21, and finished third in the Listed Hinchinbrook Lonhro Plate on Feb. 4. He was fourth, beaten just over a length, in the G2 Skyline S. when last seen on Feb. 25.
Eden Roc's dam, Hilton Head (Aus) (Fastnet Rock {Aus}), is a half-sister to the colt's year-older stablemate Star Turn (Aus) (Star Witness {Aus}), a dual group winning and Group 1-placed sprinter.
“He has always shown tremendous ability, being right up there with the best 2-year-olds in our stable,” said co-trainer Michael Hawkes. “Being closely related to Star Turn he has similar traits and strength, and only with time will Eden Roc keep improving.”
