Just one hip after a colt by Galileo (Ire) sold for €1.5 million, lot 148, a filly by Dubawi (Ire), bettered that price to the tune of €1.625 million during the second session of the Arqana August Yearling Sale. Purchased by Godolphin SNC, the Ecurie des Monceaux consignee is from the same family to boot, being a daughter of French listed winner Prudenzia (Ire) (Dansili {GB}) and a half-sister to G1 Irish Oaks heroine Chicquita (Ire) (Montjeu {Ire}) and Group 2 winner Magic Wand (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}). The latter has also placed second in six Group 1 races on the world stage and was runner-up in the GI Arlington Million on Aug. 11. The May foal was bred by Ecurie des Monceaux and Skymarc Farm Inc. in Ireland.
