Frank Calabrese's Dreaming of Anna (Rahy–Justenuffheart, by Broad Brush), the champion juvenile filly of 2006, died last week at the age of 14, according to reports first published in the Daily Racing Form. As a Wayne Catalano trainee, she captured the GI Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies in 2006–her greatest achievement in a career that saw her win 10 times from 17 starts with earnings of $2,024,550.

Dreaming of Anna won graded stakes at the ages of two, three and four and, despite notching her defining victory on dirt, competed on the turf for the majority of her career. She retired at the conclusion of the 2008 season and began a successful broodmare career. She most notably produced GI King's Bishop S. runner-up and sire Fast Anna (Medaglia d'Oro) and GSW Dreamologist (Tapit), but also achieved success as the grand-dam of SW & GISP With Honors (War Front). Her final foal was a 2017 colt by Declaration of War.
