Gunpowder Farms' Grade I winner Divisidero (Kitten's Joy) is aiming towards a 2017 debut in Gulfstream's GII Fort Lauderdale S. Jan. 24. The GI Woodford Reserve Turf Classic hero was last seen finishing fifth to Flintshire (GB) (Dansili {GB}) in Belmont's GI Woodford Reserve Manhattan S. June 11.

“He's doing well,” trainer Buff Bradley said. “We know he likes this track. We're hoping to make the Fort Lauderdale.”

An eye-catching debut winner in Hallandale last term, Divisidero's record at Gulfstream stands at 4-1-1-2.

Bradley is also preparing lightly-raced sophomore The Player (Street Hero), who he co-owns with Carl Hurst and bred with Hurst and his late father Fred Bradley. A two-time winner at Churchill this summer, the chestnut was last seen finishing second to Cupid (Tapit) in the GII Indiana Derby July 16.

“We're hoping to get a start for him in February. He won't be ready until then,” said Bradley. “He's really come around. We always knew he could run a little bit. I gave him some time after the Indiana Derby, but he's back in full swing now. He'll probably be back to breezing before long.”
