Beginning to pick off rivals nearing the top of the lane, he split horses three different times in the stretch to just run down pacesetting favorite Bronx Sandman (Algorithms) in the final strides for a half-length victory over fellow closer Sleepless (Quality Road). The winner was a $110,000 KEESEP yearling who went for $625,000 at OBSMAR after breezing a quarter-mile in :21 flat. His dam was a stakes-placed turfer in Italy and is a half to GII Del Mar Derby winner and MGISP Medici Code (GB) (Medicean {GB}).
