Coolmore Ireland Announces 2016 Fees

Gleneagles | Racing Post

Coolmore Stud in Ireland has set 2016 stud fees for their roster of 25 stallions, the stud announced Thursday. Anchored by stalwarts such as champion sire Galileo (Ire) (Sadler's Wells) and Australian sensation Fastnet Rock (Aus) (Danehill), three new stallions will be standing their first seasons in 2016 headed by impressive dual Classic hero Gleneagles (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}), who will stand for 60,000. A winner of both the G1 2000 Guineas at Newmarket and the G1 Irish 2000 Guineas at The Curragh, Gleneagles won the G1 National S. as a juvenile and added the G1 St. James's Palace S. after his Classic wins. He will be joined by smart juvenile Ivawood (Ire) (Zebedee {GB}) at 9,000. The bay captured two Group 2 races as a juvenile in 2014, missed by a nose in the G1 Middle Park S. and was twice third to Gleneagles in both Classics. Classic hero Kingston Hill (GB) (Mastercraftsman {Ire}), who landed the 2014 G1 St Leger S. at Doncaster and the G1 Racing Post Trophy in 2013, will stand for 6,000.
