Clarke Joins James Harron BS

Jim Clarke | James Harron Bloodstock

Jim Clarke will join James Harron Bloodstock in advance of the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale in January and split his time between JHB and JHB Syndications, the agency announced on Tuesday. A graduate of Queensland University of Technology in Law, Clarke worked under Peter Snowden at Darley Osborne Park and then took part in the Darley Flying Start course. For two years he was the racing manager for trainer Bjorn Baker and spent an additional two years as part of the racing and bloodstock management team with Godolphin in the UK.

Of the appointment James Harron said, “I am very proud of the team of people I have assembled–each and every one has been paramount in getting us to where we are today, and I believe Jim will add to that through his own unique skill set and outstanding experience throughout the international thoroughbred industry. In an ever-changing industry, where I believe you never stop learning, it is paramount that we continue to bring in the very best young talent to ensure that no stone is left unturned in our pursuit of excellence.”

“I am thrilled to be joining the motivated, energetic and ambitious team  at James Harron Bloodstock,” said Clarke. “The company has achieved phenomenal results in a short space of time and I am looking forward to the opportunity to add to that success. I have had a fantastic time in the UK and I am extremely grateful to Godolphin for the opportunity to gain more experience abroad which will be of great benefit to working in racing and breeding in Australia, which is my great passion.”
