Stalking the speed from third, the bay sidled up to the frontrunners at the three-sixteenths pole and took command into the final furlong. John Tippmann and the well-traveled Arawak made late bids, but the chalk kept to his task and registered a convincing score. John Tippmann stayed on well to complete the exacta.
