Just weeks after Criquette Head-Maarek announced her retirement, another Chantilly stalwart, Elie Lellouche, has called it a day, Racing Post reports.

Lellouche will be best remembered as the conditioner of the G1 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe winner Helissio (Fr) (Fairy King), but also in his ranks were the Wildenstein family owned G1 Prix de Diane winners Aquarelliste (Fr) (Danehill) and Bright Sky (Ire) (Wolfhound) and the G1 Hong Kong Vase scorer Vallee Enchantee (Ire) (Peintre Celebre), as well as the excellent stayer Westerner (GB) (Danehill).

“It wasn't a difficult decision at all when it came to it,” Lellouche told Racing Post. “I had lost a few clients and that forced my hand a little but I felt it was the right time to stop for a variety of reasons.”
