MORAVIAN PRAYER (Bayern), picked up for the bargain price tag of $30,000 at the Fasig-Tipton October Sale, has been training steadily over this oval under the watchful eye of top Maryland horseman Hamilton Smith. Her dam Greyciousness (Miswaki) is a half-sister to the precocious juvenile Chief Seattle (Seattle Slew), runner-up in the 1999 GI Breeders’ Cup Juvenile. The Shug McGaughey-trained filly was a $185,000 Keeneland November weanling and RNA’d for $145,000 at this year’s OBS April sale after a :10 2/5 eighth of a mile breeze. TJCIS PPs

Todd Pletcher sends out a pair of pricey juvenile colts in Thursday’s fourth event at the Spa. MYSTIC LANCELOT (Into Mischief) was acquired by Phoenix Thoroughbred III for $450,000 following the colt’s :10 1/5 furlong drill at this spring’s Fasig-Tipton Timonium Sale. The bay breezed a :50 4/5 (18/52) half-mile on the turf course in company Aug. 9 with July 14 maiden special weight winner Sweet Melania (American Pharoah) (Click for XBTV Video). Phoenix Thoroughbreds Into Mischief first-time starter Call On Mischief captured a maiden special weight at Monmouth last weekend for trainer Michael Stidham.

Donegal Racing signed the ticket for Croi Mor (Honor Code) for $150,000 as a yearling at the Keeneland September Sale. His dam Eden’s Storm (Stormy Atlantic) is a half-sister to English champion and $4,116,358 earner David Junior (Pleasant Tap) and hails from the family of turf giants Paradise Creek (Irish River {Fr}) and Theatrical (Ire) (Nureyev).
