Named a 'TDN Rising Star' after a dominant 10-length graduation Dec. 18 at Los Alamitos, the $230,000 KEESEP pickup was second to barnmate and fellow Rising Star Unique Bella (Tapit) in the GII Santa Ynez Jan. 8 before capturing an allowance/optional claimer Feb. 3 at Santa Anita and the GIII Honeybee S. Mar. 11 at Oaklawn. A distant third in the GI Santa Anita Oaks, the dark bay was most recently fifth–elevated to fourth–with a troubled trip in the GII Summertime Oaks June 17. Hammered down to 3-5 favoritism in this East Coast debut, It Tiz Well tracked the speed of Proud and Fearless (Proud Citizen) through splits of :24 1/5 and :48 1/5.
