A 26,000gns Tattersalls October Yearling acquisition by John Foote Bloodstock, Last Week (GB) (Tamayuz {GB}) was sent off a $6 (5-1) chance for this first career trip to the post Tuesday at Bendigo and was shuffled back to last while tossing his head around for the first 700 metres or so. Settled better down the side, he was shifted out wide into the lane by Dean Yendall and came with big, round strides in the final furlong to graduate by 1 1/4 good-looking lengths. Last Word is out of an unraced daughter of SW Out West (Gone West), the dam of champion and 2005 G1 Epsom Derby hero Motivator (GB) (Montjeu {Ire}), GSW & G1SP Macarthur (Ire) (Montjeu {Ire}) and SW Imperial Star (Ire) (Fantastic Light). His now 2-year-old Oasis Dream (GB) half-sister was knocked down to Stephen Hillen Bloodstock for 100,000gns at last year's October sale, while World Class produced a filly by Kingman (GB) in 2016.
