Amore Connections Mulling Options

Tocco D'Amore | Racing Post

No decision has been made as to which route Dermot Weld will take with his exciting filly Tocco D'Amore (Ire) (Raven's Pass), who was tabbed a 'TDN Rising Star' following her six-length win when unveiled at Naas Apr. 9. The 3-year-old beat some well-regarded colts on her debut and holds entries in the G1 Investec Oaks and the Irish equivalent. A Classic trial is likely to be the next port of call, with the G3 Blue Wind S. at The Curragh on May 13 an option for the Raven's Pass filly.

Weld's son and assistant Kris said, “We're not in any great rush with Tocco D'Amore–she has a lot of entries and is in everything. A filly as valuable as her, you hope she might live up to some of her pedigree–it's never guaranteed. We haven't decided what route we're going with her, but we were thrilled to win with her at Naas. We weren't surprised she won against the colts–nobody listened to us so that's not our problem. We'll give her time to come out of the race and hopefully she'll be competing in good races before too long.”
