Adlerflug Gelding Tops BBAG Sale

Gestut Gorlsdorf's 3-year-old gelding Hey Little Boy (Ger) (Adlerflug {Ger}) topped the second and final session of the BBAG Sales and Racing Festival October Sale on Saturday when bought by PB Bloodstock for €75,000. The bay, a €34,000 yearling purchase, has raced three times this year and was a last-out second in a Koln maiden.

A pair of yearlings reached the €49,000 mark on Saturday, the highest price for a yearling at the two-day sale. The first was an Areion (Ger) filly who is a full-sister to G3 Prix Perth winner Flamingo Star (Ger) and a half to Italian Group 1 winner Feuerblitz (Ger) (Big Shuffle). The second was a son of Dutch Art who was the lone representative of his sire in the catalogue, and he was bought by Andi Wyss. The colt is from the immediate family of G1 Moyglare Stud S. winner Sequoyah (Ire) (Sadler's Wells) and her dual Classic-winning son Henrythenavigator (Kingmambo) and Group 1-winning daughter Listen (Ire) (Sadler's Wells), as well as G1 Irish 2000 Guineas and GI Breeders' Cup Turf winner Magician (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}).
