NYTB to Administer NY Stallion Stakes Series Noms

The New York Thoroughbred Breeders Inc. reminds stallion owners that, beginning with the 2017 breeding season, all nomination forms should be directed to the NYTB and not to the New York Racing Association, as in the past. The administration of the NY Stallion Stakes Series was transferred from NYRA to NYTB earlier this year.

In order for the progeny of a stallion to be eligible for the series, consisting of 10 stakes races worth over $1 million, the stallion must be fully nominated in the year of the foal's conception. For the upcoming breeding season, stallion owners should complete the NYSS Series Nomination Form for Series 2020 (Foals of 2018) and send the nomination fee to NYTB at 57 Phila Street, Saratoga Springs, NY, 12866. A stallion's nomination fee is $2,500, or advertised stud fee (whichever is higher). Fifty percent of the nomination fee is due February 15; the remaining 50% is due July 1.

For the convenience of stallion owners, breeders, owners and trainers, the NYTB website (www.nytbreeders.org) will maintain a NYSS webpage with forms and other pertinent info.
