Richard Ravin and Patricia's Hope LLC's GIII Iroquois S. winner Cocked and Loaded (Colonel John) worked five furlongs in :58 (2/32) in company with 3-year-old allowance winner Lewys Vaporizer (Lewis Michael) at Keeneland Wednesday morning. The juvenile is preparing for a start in the GI Breeders' Cup Juvenile in Lexington Oct. 31.

Starting two lengths behind his workmate with Jose Valdivia Jr. in the irons, Cocked and Loaded ticked off splits of :11.60, :23.20 and :35.20 and finished on even terms with Lewys Vaporizer before galloping out in 1:11.60.

“The work was awesome,” trainer Larry Rivelli said, noting that Lewys Vaporizer is being pointed to the $100,000 Perryvile S. at six furlongs Oct. 31. “He'll probably have one more work [before the Breeders' Cup].”

A debut winner at Keeneland Apr. 9, Cocked and Loaded captured Belmont's Tremont S. June 5 and finished off the board in Saratoga's GIII Sanford S. July 25 and GIII Arlington-Washington Futurity Aug. 22 prior to his win in the Iroquois.
