Ajaya To Shuttle Down Under

Chatswood Stud in Victoria, Australia-which first stood Invincible Spirit (Ire) during his shuttling stint-will shuttle a son of the leading sire Down Under this year in Ajaya (Ire). Ajaya won the 2015 G2 Gimcrack S. at two for trainer William Haggas, and is based at Rathbarry Stud in Ireland.

The Invincible Spirit sireline has enjoyed success in Australia courtesy of his champion first-season sire son I Am Invincible (Aus), and Ajaya is from the Juddmonte family of Group 1 winner Cityscape (GB) (Selkirk) and Group 2 winner Bated Breath (GB) (Dansili {GB}).

Chatswood Studmaster Greg Willis said, “Ajaya is the right shuttle stallion to bring to Australia. He loved firm tracks…and of course Ajaya will take his place in the same barn that his sire, Invincible Spirit, did when he stood here. He is serving quality mares in his first Northern Hemisphere season in Ireland where some astute breeders have noted his uncanny resemblance to his sire. I couldn't be more confident he will make it as a sire in Australia. We will be supporting him very well.”
