Vancouver To Miss Spring Carnival

One of last season's star 2-year-olds Vancouver (Aus) (Medaglia d'Oro) looks set for a spell on the sidelines and will miss his intended targets at the spring carnival. The Gai Waterhouse trainee won the G1 Golden Slipper at Rosehill in March leading Coolmore Stud to purchase a share in the exciting stallion prospect. He reappeared last month in the G3 San Domenico S. at Rosehill where he was surprisingly beaten into fourth place behind Japonisme (Aus) (Choisir {Aus}). Connections were obviously not entirely satisfied with the colt's current form and on Tuesday Gai Waterhouse informed Sydney stewards of her intention to spell Vancouver until further notice.
