Vadamos on Track for Cox Plate

Andre Fabre is excited about the prospect of Vadamos (Fr) (Monsun {Ger}) running in the G1 Cox Plate in Australia. Impressive winner of the G1 Prix du Moulin last time out–his first success at the highest level–thoughts now turn to Australia's weight-for-age championship at Moonee Valley on Oct. 22.

“Everyone is very happy with Vadamos, I'm hearing good things,” said Fabre. “In the morning he works like an aeroplane, but sometimes he has disappointed on track. There have been excuses sometimes, but he was very good in the Moulin and the time before that he was beaten by a very good horse [Ribchester {Ire} {Iffraaj {GB}}]. It has taken time to get the best out of him on track, but now it looks like we are seeing that. He hasn't been the greatest traveller in the past, but he's a much more mature horse now and he has plenty of time to settle in Australia.”
