Suavito | Racing and Sports

Suavito (NZ) (Thorn Park {Aus}–Queen Cha Cha {NZ}, by High Chaparral {Ire}), twice a winner at the highest level in the 2016 G1 C.F. Orr S. and the 2015 G1 Futurity S. for trainer Nigel Blackiston, has been retired, reported racenet.com Tuesday. Leased by an ownership group, before they exercised their right to purchase the mare, the 6-year-old also wracked up victories in the G2 Energy S., G2 Blamey S., and G3 International S., as well as placing in this year's edition of the Futurity S. at Caulfield. Retired with a mark of 24-8-4-4 and $1,046,877 in earnings, the Kiwi-bred has been sold to champion New Zealand breeder Waikato Stud, where she will visit resident stallion Savabeel (Aus) (Zabeel {NZ}).

A half-sister to SP Sultan of Swing (NZ), Suavito's third dam is the 1993 G1 Irish 1000 Guineas heroine Nicer (Ire) (Pennine Walk {Ire}), who also ran third in the G1 Premio Vittorio di Capua in Italy that year.
