Treve Enjoying A Break

Dual G1 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe heroine Treve (Fr) (Motivator {GB}) is enjoying “an easy few weeks”, according to trainer Criquette Head-Maarek, after her latest victory in the G1 Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud June 28. The 5-year-old is expected to be seen next in the G1 Prix Vermeille Sept. 13, which she won in 2013 and finished fourth in last year on the way to her Arc victories.

“Everything is fine with Treve,” said Head-Maarek.

“She's having an easy few weeks before we bring her back for the Vermeille.”

Treve has won both her outings this year, and her conditioner admitted this year has been much smoother than last, when Treve rebounded from three straight losses to defend her Arc title.

“Everything is more relaxed than last year–we seemed to spend most of that looking for what was wrong,” Head-Maarek said. “She has done everything right; she's very switched off at home but when she gets to the races, she knows what is required. Physically, she looks perfect.”
