HERMITAGE BAY (War Front">War Front) debuts for Derrick Smith, Susan Magnier and Michael Tabor and John Gosden on the Polytrack so often used by the stable to introduce its nicer juveniles. Costing $750,000 as a foal at Keeneland, the bay is a half-brother to the GII Demoiselle S. winner Dixie City (Dixie Union) from the family of the champion Dehere (Deputy Minister).

KHOR AL UDAID (GB) (Invincible Spirit {Ire}) is another Gosden newcomer who made a serious impact at auction, being a 680,000gns TATOCT purchase by Al Shaqab Racing. The half-brother to the 2011 G3 Prix la Force winner and G1 Prix du Jockey Club third Baraan (Fr) (Dalakhani {Ire}) out of a half to last year's GI Diana S. heroine Somali Lemonade (Lemon Drop Kid), is one of a dozen lining up for the second division of this maiden.
