Prado's Sweet Ride | Reed Palmer

Saturday's GIII Pucker Up S. at Arlington sees 11 sophomore fillies seeking some coveted black-type, with Belmont's Chelsea Flower S. scorer Miss Chatelaine (Pulpit) receiving the morning line nod at 7-2. The Christophe Clement trainee enters off of back-to-back losses behind the undefeated Lady Eli (Divine Park) when sixth in the Wonder Again S. May 31 and a closing-eighth in the GI Belmont Oaks Invitational S. July 4, both at Big Sandy. Trainer Chris Block saddles Prado's Sweet Ride (Fort Prado), who is looking for graded-stakes win number two after narrowly landing the grassy GIII Regret S. beneath the Twin Spires going this trip June 13. The bay is four-for-five on turf and is the lone graded stakes winner in the field. Block also sends out Team Block homebred Giant Deduction (Giant's Causeway), who will be testing the waters at this level for the first time and should appreciate the added distance. Stoneway Farm's Ahh Chocolate (Candy Ride {Arg}), third in the GII Black Eyed Susan S. at Old Hilltop May 15, tired to fourth in the slop at the GII Indian Oaks July 18. The surface is a question mark, but the Neil Howard charge has had ample time to recover from her latest. Regret third Return to Grace (English Channel), second to subsequent Belmont allowance heroine Robillard (Distorted Humor) in a 1 1/16 mile Keeneland sod affair Apr. 12, graduated going nine panels over the Churchill Downs lawn May 23. Not to be discounted is Ramsey homebred Walking the Kitten (Kitten's Joy), who ran fourth in the Northbound Pride Oaks last time June 21 behind America Mon Amie (All American {Aus}) and runner-up Mizz Money (Mizzen Mast).
