Territories Misses Out On Rematch

Territories (Ire) (Invincible Spirit {Ire}) will not get the opportunity to gain revenge on his G1 2000 Guineas conqueror Gleneagles (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) next Tuesday as the Godolphin owned 3yo has been ruled out of the G1 St James's Palace S. due to a suspected stone bruise. Sheikh Mohammed's bloodstock advisor John Ferguson announced on www.godolphin.com “Unfortunately Territories was not sound this morning and it is understood to be a stone bruise. He will therefore not take up his engagement in the St James's Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot.” Despite Territories missing out, trainer Andre Fabre will still launch a strong challenge to the dual Guineas winning favorite Gleneagles as he intends saddling the supplemented G1 Poule d'Essai des Poulains winner Make Believe (GB) (Makfi {GB}). His form has been boosted even further recently with stablemate New Bay (GB) (Dubawi {Ire}), runner up to Make Believe at Longchamp, proving a decisive winner of the G1 Prix De Jockey Club at Chantilly May 31.
