TERF Announces Pledge From Jacksons

Roy and Gretchen Jackson | Sarah K Andrew

Officials at The Thoroughbred Education and Research Foundation (TERF) have announced that Lael Stable's Roy and Gretchen Jackson will donate 5% of their stable winnings in 2019 to the foundation.

The purpose of the donation is to increase funding for students wishing for an education in the area of equine medicine, but in need of financial support. The foundation also gives money to equine research.

“We have always been interested and caring about the horses' welfare,” said Gretchen Jackson, a TERF board member along with her husband. “TERF gives us a doorway into the future to provide funding to support education for future veterinarians and technicians and the opportunity to rid the equine world of devastating diseases and prevent injuries through focused research. It is all directed at our goal–to better the life of the Thoroughbred.”
