MGSW and MG1SP Tasleet (GB) (Showcasing {GB}–Bird Key {GB}, by Cadeaux Genereux {GB}) will stand at Shadwell's Nunnery Stud in 2019, the stud announced. Fees for the bay, who is aiming to go one better in the G1 QIPCO British Champions Sprint S. at Ascot on Oct. 20, and his fellow Nunnery stallions will be released later.

“Tasleet is a thoroughly tough and genuine horse with a great temperament,” said trainer William Haggas. “He's a good looking horse-all quality. We're looking forward to his last run at Ascot.”

Bred by Whitsbury Manor Stud and purchased by Shadwell for £52,000 out of the Doncaster Premier Yearling Sale in 2014, the William Haggas trainee won the Listed Rose Bowl S. and the lucrative DBS Premier Yearling S. as a juvenile and was second in both the G2 Richmond S. and the G3 Tattersall S. Tasleet landed the G3 Greenham S. in two starts at three and triumphed in the G2 Duke Of York S. as a 4-year-old in 2017. Stepping up to Group 1 company later that year, the consistent bay was runner-up in the G1 Diamond Jubilee S., the G1 Sprint Cup S. and the G1 QIPCO British Champions Sprint S. In 2018, he was third in the G2 Greenlands S. in May and his record currently stands at 16-5-6-1, with earnings of $905,593.

“We are thrilled to be introducing Tasleet to breeders,” said Shadwell Stud Director Richard Lancaster. “He is a neat, good-looking horse with an active step and has shown tremendous consistency over four consecutive seasons, putting up performances that have entitled him to be considered among the best sprinters of recent years.”

The third winner produced by Bird Key (GB), herself a half-sister to G2 Champagne S. victor Etlaala (GB) (Selkirk) who also ran third in the G1 Darley July Cup), Tasleet shares a second dam with French highweight and G1 Prix de l'Abbaye de Longchamp Longines winner Battaash (Ire) (Dark Angel {Ire}). Tasleet's latest sibling is a full-sister (lot 203) who will be offered during day one of Goffs Orby by Baroda & Colbinstown Studs. He will be available to view at Beech House Stud in Newmarket during the Tattersalls December Sales.
