Champion Take Charge Brandi (Giant's Causeway–Charming, by Seeking the Gold) brought a $3.2-million bid from Hill 'n' Dale's John Sikura to dissolve a partnership and take over the leaderboard at KEENOV Wednesday.
Consigned by Hill 'n' Dale Sales Agency, agent for Elevage Dispersal as Hip 111, she previously brought a sale-topping $6 million from Sikura/Hill 'n' Dale Equine at the 2015 KEENOV Sale. The 2014 GI Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies upsetter, also a $435,000 KEESEP yearling, is in foal to Triple Crown winner Justify.
Take Charge Brandi is a half-sister to MGISW and this weekend's GI Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile runner-up Omaha Beach (War Front).
Sikura also signed for her $600,000 Tapit weanling colt, who followed her into the ring as Hip 112.
