The Maryland State Fair meet at Timonium concluded Monday with increases in on-track and total handle. Total wagering at the fair, including money wagered at Timonium on live and simulcast races and simulcast handle on Timonium racing, totaled $7,827,083, up 11.11% from last year. Running from Aug. 25 through Sept. 4, the week-long meet held during the Maryland State Fair will offer purses of $287,000 daily. Thoroughbred racing at the Timonium meet runs Aug. 26 through Sept. 6 during the Maryland State Fair. The meet will conduct the $125,000 Timonium Distaff S. Aug. 27.
