The fourth annual Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund TVG Telethon, held Apr. 10 and presented by Lane's End Farm, raised a record-breaking $383,945. The 2020 event was cancelled due to the pandemic, but it returned in 2021 to raise $339,672 in donations. Last Saturday's Jockeys and Jeans Fundraiser held at Monmouth Park raised $340,000, breaking the record of $312,000 raised in 2019 when the event was held at Canterbury Park. The Jockeys and Jeans Great American Stallion Season Sale will once again benefit the PDJF and this year will offer both Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse stallions. The auction begins Jan. 29 at 9 a.m. and ends Feb. 1 at 5 p.m on Starquine.com. A season preview will be available Jan. 28. All seasons sold, their buyers and their prices are private. All seasons are non-guaranteed and donors have the option of including a breed-back the following year if the buyer's mare does not get in foal on first cover.
