O'Briens and Coolmore Sue Over Contaminated Feed Debacle

Aidan O'Brien and his son Donnacha are among a group of plaintiffs associated with Ballydoyle and Coolmore who issued legal proceedings against animal feed supplier Glanbia over the contaminated feed debacle on G1 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe weekend in 2020. GAIN Champion Collection Series Announced

The 2022 €220,000 Champion Collection Series, for 2-year-olds, was launched by GAIN Equine Nutrition in partnership with The Curragh. The series comprises three races: the May 2 Listed GAIN First Flyer S., the May 21 G3 GAIN Marble Hill S. and the June 25 G2 GAIN Railway S. GAIN and The Curragh's partnership began back in 2012. 'Gain the Advantage Series' Extended to '22

GAIN Equine Nutrition has extended its support of 'GAIN The Advantage Series' for a second year. In 2021, Toomevara trainer Ray Hackett won the overall trainers award and €5,000 of GAIN Equine Nutrition products. The 2022 series will follow the same format, featuring a variety of race conditions with an increase prize fund of 50% for each race in the series. GAIN Equine Nutrition will sponsor a series of three 2-year-old races at The Curragh billed as the "Champion Collection", the racecourse announced on Tuesday. GAIN Provides Update on Contaminant Investigation

After a weekend of intensive testing of GAIN's equine feed ranges, batches and individual ingredients, progress has been made in the investigation into the presence of Zilpaterol in the contaminated feeds, the company announced late on Monday evening. The synthetic beta-agonist Zilpaterol, approved for use as a performance-enhancer in some beef production systems outside the EU, was found in some positive tests on horses that had consumed GAIN products in France last week.
