Storm The Stars Bound For Oz

Storm The Stars | Racing Post

Storm the Stars (Sea The Stars {Ire}), third in Golden Horn (GB) (Cape Cross {Ire})'s G1 Investec Derby and runner-up to that luminary's stablemate Jack Hobbs (GB) (Halling) in the Irish equivalent, will join the string of Chris Waller in Australia, reported Racing Post. Trained by William Haggas for Sheikh Juma Dalmook Al Maktoum during his Northern Hemisphere campaigns, Storm the Stars won the G2 Great Voltigeur S. after his Classic placings and was also third in the G1 Grand Prix de Paris. He ended his season with a fourth in the G1 St Leger S. at York Sept. 12.

“It was a mutual agreement, I was very much for it as well,” Haggas told Racing Post. “It's an exciting venture for the owner, it's his first horse out there. Storm The Stars is a very talented, tough and sound horse and I think he'll do really well there. I think he could be a champion and I hope he is.”
