The covering fee for Group 1 sire Showcasing (GB) at Whitsbury Manor Stud will remain unchanged at £35,000 in 2018. The sire of champion sprinter Quiet Reflection (GB) and three other Group 2 winners will covered a limited book.
“We are very much looking forward to watching Showcasing's 2-year-old crop hit the track next year as they're the first crop bred since he made such a big impression with his first runners and there was a marked step up in the strength of their dams,” said Whitsbury Manor Director Ed Harper.
Showcasing stands alongside second-season covering sire Adaay (Ire) (£6,000); Swiss Spirit (GB), who currently has 15 winners with his first 2-year-olds (£4,000) and Due Diligence (£5,000), whose first foals will sell in the coming months.
“I'm delighted with the even spread of Due Diligence's first foals heading to Goffs and Tattersalls,” said Harper. “I've seen most of the them that are catalogued and I'm confident they have the walk and athleticism that the foal market is so keen on.”
