Setback Could Cost Kingston The Year

Last year's G1 St Leger winner Kingston Hill (GB) (Mastercraftsman {Ire}), who has already missed the first half of 2015 due to injury, could be out the rest of the year after suffering another setback. Trainer Roger Varian has reported that the Paul Smith colorbearer has suffered a soft tissue injury to his left fore.

“Unfortunately Kingston Hill has suffered a fresh training setback,” Varian said. “He will again require a period of rest before he is able to resume training. Sadly, given the time of year, this fresh setback will cast a doubt over whether he will be able to race again this season.”

Also the winner of the G1 Racing Post Trophy as a juvenile, Kingston Hill finished second to Australia (GB) (Galileo {Ire}) in last year's G1 Epsom Derby and was last seen finishing fourth behind Treve (Fr) (Motivator {GB}) in the G1 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe in October.
