Hip 472, a Wildenstein Family-bred son of Dubawi (Ire) from their 2012 G1 Poule d'Essai des Pouliches heroine Beauty Parlour (GB) (Deep Impact {Jpn}), fetched a final bid of €1.4 million from Sheikh Mohammed's chief racing advisor John Ferguson to achieve the top price over the two days of selling at the Goffs Orby Yearling Sale. Consigned by The Castlebridge Consigment as part of the Wildenstein Dispersal, the French-bred bay is out of a full-sister to SW & MGSP Barocci (Jpn) from the extended female family of Australian champion Might and Power (NZ) (Zabeel {NZ}) and Lucky Owners (NZ) (Danehill), champion miler in Hong Kong and winner of the G1 Hong Kong Mile and Hong Kong Derby. The session's top price among the 'open' yearlings belonged to hip 250, a Redmondstown Stud-consigned daughter of New Approach (Ire)–Scribonia (Ire) (Danehill). The close relative to MGSW Cuis Ghaire (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}), bred by Jim Bolger, was purchased by Peter and Ross Doyle Bloodstock for €675,000, having been bought by Dermot Farrington as a foal for €450,000 at this auction house's November sale last fall.
