A longtime figure in Pennsylvania within official horse racing circles, Salvatore DeBunda passed away on July 9, aged 83.
DeBunda was past president of the Pennsylvania Thoroughbred Horsemen's Association at Parx Racing, and was a member of the state Horse Racing Commission up until his death.
As an owner, DeBunda raced under the Dun Roamin Farm Inc moniker. As an attorney, he was co-managing partner at law firm Archer & Greiner.
According to an online obituary, DeBunda is survived by his children, Lauren (Neil) Shank and David, his three grandchildren: Thomas, Daniel and Sky (fka Kathryn) Shank, his half-sister Patricia Bailey and half-brother Armando (Melisa) Roggio and his former wives, Susan Sheffield and Carol DeBunda.
